I literally can’t imagine a world where we didn’t travel with Harrison as a baby. There are countless reasons not to travel as a young family - nap schedules, routines, doomsday parents who say it’s just TOOO HARD, the list goes on. So let me give you my reasons that you need to travel with your baby, and continue to travel as a family throughout your kids’ childhoods 🫶🏼 1. Babies are pretty dang easy travelers. Sure, there’s a lot of prep that goes into it (but that’s why you read JetsetChristina.com!), but once you’re there, you’ll be surprised how easy it is to add a little one into your trip. Babies are ultraportable & YES, they adjust to time zones (they may just take a few days to get re-calibrated, just like adults). 2. It expands their horizons and widens their minds. There are many scientific studies that have shown travel boosts infant and child brain development. The first few years of a child’s life are vital in developing a foundation for how they will see, view, interact with, and problem-solve in the world. Travel as a family lays an incredible foundation for a child’s whole life! 3. Travel constantly teaches babies, toddlers, kids, and adults important lessons like flexibility, adaptability, perseverance, responsibility and diversity of cultures. 4. It gives you incredible bonding time & memories as a family. Too often, we get caught in the day-to-day drudgery of life. Travel brings us all closer together & gives us new and exciting things to do together. As a working mom, I am often away from my family during the day, but when we’re traveling, I’m spending every waking moment with them, and I feel closer and more connected to my son (and my husband!) than at home. 5. Kids who travel become more easy-going at home. Travel forces us to be easy-going by teaching us we’re not always in control, and that’s ok! Travel builds confidence, and creates a more easy-going nature that learns to flex with and for other people & adapt to new circumstances. 6. These are the years you won’t get back.🥹 so make the MOST of them!!! They may not remember it all, but you will. And they’ll cherish the photos one day, and all the stories you’ll tell 🫶🏼❤️
