Hilary will be offering Bystander Training before the music starts. What is Bystander Training? Here's how Hilary describes it: What do you do when you witness someone engaging in weird, inappropriate, or otherwise uncomfortable behavior at a show or elsewhere in the world? Do you feel like the meme of the person doing math calculations? Do you ignore it? Do you intervene? If so, how? Hilary will be facilitating a conversation on bystander intervention techniques and considerations to make intervention less awkward and more effective. Hilary B. Jones is a consultant supporting companies in the music products industry and beyond to create awesome, inclusive workplaces holistically through training, policy, and value alignment. She is an adjunct professor of Gender Studies and Psychology and RIOT RI's founding Executive Director!
