🙋🏽‍♀️Hands up if you’ve ever been asked when you’re having a baby? A seemingly innocent question, but when it’s the last thing that you want to hear it cuts really deep. With every milestone that you pass in life it seems like the question comes more & more often. I always dread the question. I often feel like my life choices are being judged. However I’ve never been shy about telling people to get lost! I always knew it was a very intrusive question as I have spent many years watching my patients go through terrible experiences of fertility issues & pregnancy loss. It was only after my own personal bitter experience of miscarriage last year that I realised exactly how intrusive a question it is. I also noticed in that moment it became harder to find the strength to come out with one of my previous sassy responses. @ferringpharmaceuticals run an incredible, award-winning social media campaign called #FertilityAwks that aims to educate the general population about the trials & struggles that people can go through trying to build a family. I thought long & hard about how I could contribute & I came up with this reel that some of you may relate to. You don’t have to live by anyone else’s timetable. And you should never feel too shy to tell people that it’s a completely inappropriate question, but I know it’s not always easy.
