In 2022 we officially launched ArtHaus Community: our not-for-profit organization providing educational programming focused on professional development for emerging artists and creative entrepreneurs. 🌊 Some highlights from our first year include: Hosting @nohacollective’s Young, Gifted and Black: an event series encompassing a showcase, songwriting camp, visual art workshop and art gallery popup that highlight Toronto’s vibrant community of Black artists from across the diaspora Opening our new space with @consciouseconomics for @rbcxmusic First Up Artist Summit featuring workshops & conversations on art, business & mindfulness Launching Inside Live with @advancemusicca, @mlselaunchpad and @livenationon: a 3 day intensive program designed to expose black youth and their parents to the multiple career pathways that exist in the live music industry Collaborating with @kinaxis and participating in the @trsmindigenous Reconciliation in Business 2022 Conference & Pow Wow, which celebrated the resurgence of Indigenous peoples' and worldviews in business Leading creative workshops, recording and mentorship sessions for @cwofame’s Emerging Musician Program Opening our studio doors for @socanmusic’s famous songwriting camps as well as a collab with @canmuspub for their Women In The Studio program Hosting a management and career workshop for @thehoneyjam 2022 class Setting up the ArtHaus Cafe back in @bbishopairport, this time with @nohacollective, who curated two weeks of emerging artist performances in the airport Supporting students at @torontomet’s @thecreativeschl with our second annual Art of Emergence award and scholarship Thank you to everyone who contributed to our eclectic and inspiring community this year!
