No Bleach Retouch • • • This client came to me and wanted a retouch on her color. In the consultation she explained that she wanted dimension but darker. This to me was a sign to ask more questions. I asked what she meant by darker. To some they may have thought she meant low lights. But she wanted something that was low maintenance and would grow out / fade nicely. She is in college and also from another city and wont be able to come in that often. After asking more she explained that her ends in some spots were too light but there were some areas that she was ok with. This helped to realize she wanted the pieces that were “too light” to appear darker and also for her new highlights to not be as light as that. To ensure that she would have a color that wouldn’t fade that much and also stay the same level, I decided to use a special formula. We all know what using a standard Highlift color formula on a brunette would do, bright orange baby! I used 7A to bring the level down and still allowed the ability to control the warmth.
