I got a lot to say—like how I couldn’t have made it through this year without you—like how your investment in me showed me how I needed to invest in myself first. You opened doors I much rather would have kept closed, but for that I am grateful because it allowed me to work on parts of me I never knew needed healing. (My brothers, I encourage you to seek that therapy 🖤) You fought for the man you knew I could become and the man I now choose to be. A man still healing from wounds of the past—but a man indeed. I trust you...and I can’t say that about a lot people, but truly you’re not like a lot of people in this world. The sacrifices you make on the daily aren’t what surprises me, it’s the fact that you choose to do them without seeking reciprocity.
