Congratulations to @amoakoboafo and the whole residency team in Accra behind @dot.ateliers on their inaugural opening December 17, 2022! We are delighted to celebrate the new artist residency created with the vision to cultivate a sustainable art ecosystem in Accra, Ghana. dot.ateleliers is the materialization of Boafo’s commitment to strengthen the art community in the African continent by providing artists the resources for their career development. Designed by award-winning architect Sir David Adjaye OBE, the residency’s building is a monolithic three-story structure conceived as an “architectural tool” for rethinking the possibilities of sustainable design within its waterfront neighborhood of South Labadi. Opening exhibitions include, 'homegrown' curated by @aindreaemelife, featuring a solo show of work by Amoako Boafo and a group exhibition, 'side by side', curated by @akworkorthompson.
