Yesterday... a truly magical moment. One moment I’ll never forget! To see my old teacher again incredible person & true Master Milliner, Marie O’Regan. Marie worked for the best and made couture millinery & shapes for them too... @dior to name but one... For those of you that have listened to my podcast @millinery.info you will hear me talk so highly of Marie. From day 1 at the @rca_fashion Marie was there... guiding , shaping & molding my future. Without her & the truly fantastic Shirley Hex I wouldn’t be where I am today. Marie is suffering from dementia, and in her words ‘going gaga’ most of her memories fading... but there were moments where I saw her, her eyes sparkling -talking about hats smiling... and remembering ... those magical glimpses although tiny were beautiful! I took her my book in the hope that visually it may just unlock moments for her, and some gorgeous blooming peach roses... she has always loved roses! I bow to your greatness Marie. May your light shine forever bright and your millinery memories live on in so so many others.Thank you so much to Terence Nolder & Marie’s family for helping arrange this, I am truly grateful.
