Proverbs 19:21 “We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but Gods purpose prevails.” i was listening to a sermon a year ago and I remember continuously hearing “God does not need your backup plan.” 
 Throughout the past week of my life, the Lord has continued to remind me of this truth day in and day out. This is something so hard for our human flesh to understand. We grip onto the plans of our life so tightly. We are continuously thinking that we are in control. We think about the what ifs, and we come up with backup plans in case something doesn’t go our way. The reality is when we trust in the Lord it doesn’t matter if things go our way or not. Our plans no longer matter because we should be wholeheartedly trusting that He will provide what is best for us. God does not call us to live by our backup plan, He calls us to live by faith.
