I can’t tell you how many nights I’ve sat next to Abby working through the emotions of loving herself and finding her identity with no hair and eye brows. It’s been a roller coaster sometimes, as naturally she feels like a total alien in many of the places we go. The stares, the judgement can get exhausting, as I’m right there with her and see it take a toll on her mental well-being. But @abbywrenartistry is one of the most tenacious people I know and her resiliency to keep telling the world about #alopecia and why looking different and not fitting into a box IS DOPE, continues to inspire so many. I’ve seen the long nights, the endless work hours, and the constant dedication to her craft (as I’m right there with her watching her grow day by day). Now she just won one the world’s biggest makeup competitions focused on eye brows...when she DOESN’T EVEN HAVE EYE BROWS! The growth of this woman has been nothing short of exceptional.
