CHOREOGRAPHY ON A BIKE?!?!?! OH THE CONTROVERSY! 😜 Should you do choreography on a bike?? My personal opinion: If you want to ✅ If you have a stable strong supportive set up ✅ If you have the basic riding fundamentals and strength to do so properly ✅ If the class you are participating in gives permission to do so (meaning you’re not that a-hole riding to your own choreo in a class that doesn’t offer it) ✅ Many of you here have been riding with me for 13 + years and know what this is, and how to safely execute choreography on the bike. This is primarily for my new rhythm riding folks on my app or for those of you who watch cycling videos and want to try but are intimidated by what you see. On my app we do incorporate choreography in my #DOPECYCLE classes, do you have to do the choreography? Absolutely not! Will you get the same workout? Probably an even better one without the choreo-let’s be honest.😉 Being as it’s dark in the room I thought I would show some of these moves clearly under some studio lights. 😃 🌟 Couple pointers: -Start with your simple double tap back with your hands in second (not all the way out in third) this allows you to actually put weight in the arms so that the upper body is also supporting you. -Keep the elbows drawing back towards the hips as you press into the bars for your “body roll” -Notice that even though I’m moving the hips forward my knees are never going to the handlebars. They are just in line with the resistance knob, this protects the knees. WHEN NOT TO DO THIS MOVE:❌ If you feel anything in your knees. ❌ If your bike isn’t supportive enough and you feel the bike shift forward at all ❌ If you are unsure if the class you are in allows for it or not❌ If you feel unsafe or unsure ❌ I hope that helps loves. If you have any questions or comments leave them below and look out for more of these videos. 💋
