BOOK REVIEW 🗣: This book is not just a pretty cover! You are going to laugh, cry, get annoyed, and want to be best friends with Ronke, Simi, and Boo! I truly enjoyed being in the lives of these three British Nigerian women. Also, I loved seeing their friendship be challenged by the addition of a new friend to their group (Isobel: a rich, beautiful, and always ready for a good time childhood friend of Simi) instead of the typical “stressors” like marriage, babies, or careers. Author @nikkimaywriter does a great job showcasing friendship in a way that felt real and fresh. The jealousy is SO pal👏🏾pa👏🏾ble!!! And like the title, “Wahala” (the Yoruba word for trouble), suggests, there is no shortage of trouble once Isobel enters the scene.
