⁠Hello, this is Rob Clayton photographer, b.1966, @clayton.rob and I am sharing with you a selection of my images from “Estate” (1991) and “Estate - Return” (2018).⁠ ⁠ "Estate" 1990/1991⁠ ⁠Going Out⁠ ⁠ Most evenings as a teenager, I would walk around Brickfields and Warndon, two council estates in Worcester, where I grew up. I noticed this teenage girl come out of the flats, walk a little and sit down to relax on a warm summer evening and for me it was a timeless moment. Although our environment is somewhat ordinary, perhaps run down in parts, it is our home, our place and soon enough someone you knew would probably happen by. The image speaks of ownership - the young girl is at home in her environment and the juxtaposition of scales, both emphasised by the human fragility next to the dominant structures and diminished by her ease within her environment.
