🎨 If you love local art, culture, and creative community, don’t miss @FultonArtFair at @ArtsGowanus Open Studios 2025 — it’s FREE!
Since 1958, the Fulton Art Fair has celebrated Black creativity in Brooklyn. Founded by local businesswoman Shirley Hawkins, with inaugural co-chairs Jacob Lawrence and Ernest Crichlow, it’s Brooklyn’s oldest Black visual arts event — and one of the longest continuing Black arts groups in the U.S.
The Fair highlights visual, musical, and performing arts, giving artists exposure while connecting the community to the creativity that surrounds them.
There will be over 90 locations participating in this year’s Open Studios and 400+ artists, plus workshops, demos, and art for sale.
📍 @St_Lydias – 304 Bond St, Brooklyn, NY 11231
(Visit www.artsgowanus.org for the directory and map)
🗓️ October 18–19, 2025 | Noon–6 PM
I stumbled upon Fulton Art Fair last year on Malcolm X Blvd and had some amazing conversations with the artists (swipe for quick interviews!). Their passion and dedication were truly inspiring — and it’s beautiful to see this historic event still thriving today.
Go check it out and support some seriously talented visionaries! 🙌🏽
