After being Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora for Halloween, I decided to honor my inner shy kid and be another Disney princess who was silent for half the movie: Ariel. I don’t really condone the whole giving your voice up for a man you met once thing, but Ariel was a character who also embodied curiosity and a desire to explore and understand the greater world. And I wasn’t silenced while wearing her "Kiss the Girl" look either. It was a great honor to get to take in @nyrp’s #hulaween2025 gala and to cheer on the work of this organization literally making the city more beautiful and maintaining green space for all its residents. I want to also tip a hat to @daniellendiferdinando whose Flounder purse she designed (!!) really made this costume all it was.
