Thank you @dentalproductshopper for featuring my article on "Tackeling sensitivity with fillings" using some Biomemetic Dentistry, a great bonding product & technique. Something I have been doing for many years. (See video testimony in prior post) People don't understand that fillings need to be done carefully, with patience & time. A well done filling can save someone from a root canal or an extraction. In 2021 I calculated all the fillings & crowns I have done vs how many Root canals. The % chance of a patient in my practice needing a root canal after those treatments was roughly .0044% - .045% but the # is probably less because I was being generous. I have had many patients over the years come to me after being told they need a root canal and I was able to avoid it for them by doing careful good Dentistry with excellent materials & protocols. Root canals can fail sometimes & infection can leak into the bloodstream. Wouldn't it be better to just avoid it if possible? Not everyone feels this way. I have been told by other Dentists "If it doubt Root Canal". I also believe in "minimally invasive dentistry" when doing Crowns or Veneers to try & avoid a root canal if possible.
