Happy Loving Day 2022 from me and my love. 👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏻👩🏾‍❤️‍👨🏻💃🏻🕺🏾🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️👰🏾🤵🏻‍♂️🤜🏾🤛🏼 For those that aren’t aware - this day commemorates the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1967 decision to strike down laws banning interracial marriage. It has only been FIFTY-FIVE years since that decision, initially set into motion by the case of Richard and Mildred Loving (yes, that’s their real name!), an interracial couple from Virginia who were arrested for their marriage in 1958.
