Happy Loving Day 2022 from me and my love. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฐ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿคต๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคœ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿค›๐Ÿผ For those that arenโ€™t aware - this day commemorates the U.S. Supreme Courtโ€™s 1967 decision to strike down laws banning interracial marriage. It has only been FIFTY-FIVE years since that decision, initially set into motion by the case of Richard and Mildred Loving (yes, thatโ€™s their real name!), an interracial couple from Virginia who were arrested for their marriage in 1958. I ask that Loving Day 2022 serve as a reminder of the ongoing need to fight for the right to love who we please. ๐ŸคŽ ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ ๐Ÿค๐ŸคŽ ๐ŸŒˆAcknowledge this day by shouting out some Loving couples whose marriages have only been legal for 55 years @karolcooks @oliviamarielee7 @haley__miranda @tracy_dixon_ @gbarrens ๐ŸคŽAcknowledge your biracial friends whose existence has only been legal for 55 years ๐Ÿค“keep learning about and acknowledging the shitty events that have happened in his country and use that knowledge to figure out how you can be anti-racist
