We're excited to announce we are working with @betongpark_ltd and @inashalusra (a non-profit, charitable, Palestinian women’s association) to build a concrete skatepark in Al-Bireh/Ramallah, Palestine. Located at the girls orphanage in Inash AlUsra, it will provide the girls with a safe space to learn and practice skateboarding under the guidance of local skateboarders, fitted with a concrete mini ramp, hip, wallride, ledge and more. The build also provides an opportunity for our local staff and skaters to learn the various skills and techniques necessary to build future spots and parks in Palestine. The first stage of the build is now complete! As part of the project, we're refitting a water well providing the association and orphanage with a greater reserve of cleaner water. Access to water continues to be severely limited in Palestine. This allows us to remove the current, much smaller reserve tanks, freeing up more space for skating. As you can see in the photos, the spot isn't big, so we need all the space we can get! All donations to SkatePal in the next couple months will go directly towards the costs of refitting the well and the materials still needed for building. You can donate directly via our website (link in bio) - all support is greatly appreciated! 📷 @greg.c.holland #skatepalestine #skatepal #socialskateboarding
