What a joyful day at Global Family Elementary creating new spaces for students to play, learn, and grow! We teamed up with @kaboom, the Bhusri family, @ripple_global, @ousdnews, and a mighty team of volunteers and families to construct a new kid-designed schoolyard, multi-sport court, and colorful murals, along with an upgraded garden space. As part of the day, Silver Lake also donated 100 laptops to the school. This year we have completed three playground builds for hundreds of Oakland kids and families, thanks to a diverse group of partners and volunteers committed to ending playspace inequity.
