Yesterday, my best friend crossed the rainbow bridge. Sage was my first pet that I truly had a strong connection with. If there were two things I could ask her, that she could actually understand and answer, would be one: why were you scared of the dogs, and two: why me? Those who loved Sage like I did knew she had anxiety and would hide from people and animals, yet since day one she was comfortable with me always stayed/ slept by my side. That’s something I’ll never understand. My baby is now cancer-free and painless, hopefully not with anxiety, and I couldn’t be happier for her. Although my heart hurts, I know our Lord is holding her tightly. Rest in peace, my friend🕊️🫂🫀
