Out today in Nature Communications: a new paper by researchers in the Nano-Cybernetic Biotrek group describes the first demonstration of an antenna that can work inside a living cell, be remotely operated, and that’s compatible with 3D biological systems—a “cyborg at a cellular scale,” according to Professor Deblina Sarkar (@deblinasarkar59). The technology, named Cell Rover, opens up possibilities in medical diagnostics and treatment, as well as other scientific processes due to the antenna’s potential for monitoring and augmenting cellular activity in real-time.
