🌟 The Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA) continues its I’M IIBA campaign, celebrating the resilience, stories, and contributions of immigrants in the Bay Area 🌟 This week, we’re proud to share Agnieszka’s story—a former IIBA Board member, attorney, and proud immigrant whose journey began in Poland and has spanned continents and causes. At just five years old, Agnieszka left Poland with her family under the weight of political uncertainty. After living in a refugee camp in Italy, they arrived in San Francisco, where she began a new life marked by perseverance, curiosity, and purpose. Now a lawyer at Google and former member of IIBA’s Board of Directors, Agnieszka continues to share her stories through her new book Red Poppies Turn Golden— a middle grade book based on her family’s immigration story.
