This is me doing visual Leak Check on the Rolls Royce Trent 800 engine. What you see me doing is paying attention to the drainmast and looking at my stop watch. Im counting the drops per minute. It was a static leak that is common to this engine from the fuel manifold drain collector container. It needed a engine run to push the fuel back into the manifold or else it would have kept leaking because the collector was full. This happens time to time. And this is our job as maintenance to inspect while engine is running. All precautions are taken with wing walkers and qualified personnel up from and flight deck running the engine. The leak subsided and stopped which was what we anticipated.
