The last few days that ive been out has been quite disappointing with the rut. While there has been a few bellows it certainly hasn't been action packed. I think things are starting to slow down now, i usually find in the evenings that the stags are more active. Possibly because of the rest they've got throughout the day time. But even that has been disappointing. I also haven't seen "Wide boy" for a few days now, neither has other local photographers. There's only a few reasons to why he's not been seen. 1. His injury is stopping him from moving around much, so less likely to see him around. 2. He's not being active because his testosterone levels have dropped so he's likely gone back to the area he lives in. (The one place i have yet to check for him) 3. His injury got so bad or that he sustained another injury that they decided to cull him out of cull season. I think reason 2. Is the most likely. I do hope that is the case, i also hope that he is alive and well.
