where would I be right now if we stayed in Russia and didn't come to the US? Many possibilities. One likely option would be in a jail cell while other friends protested the war in the streets of Saint Petersburg. Or, or if I happened to be born in Kyiv, Kharkiv, or most likely Berdychiv of which the chances were just 2 generations difference, I would be on the front fighting off Russians who had no business being in my home land territory. Instead I'm here in LA, helplessly watching brothers decimate each other. Posting, donating, learning, unlearning, and chanting so the world stays focused on preserving life, reducing harm, and holding Putin accountable for doing neither.
