The sun has been shining and left pale spaghetti straps over my shoulders where it couldn't brown the skin beneath my top. My arms are scratched up from picking berries - evidence that the days have been full of more than just my bruised moods. Even if my head feels heavy with remembered dreams that have offered up only more tough-to-swallow pills and my eyes struggle to stay open at the moment, I've gotten to hear the sounds of my family laughing a lot over this weekend which translates quickly into an antidote for the blues given the year we've had. My granny surprised me with a pouch of runes and gifted me some of her pretty headscarves. The runes seem to advise patience and bravery so I'll listen to them and try to pose as little resistance as possible while these grim visitations pass through.
