Currently on view at the @brooklynmuseum is “Untitled #552 (The Twins),” 1987. This hay sculpture from the late ‘80s is one of four works in the Brooklyn Museum’s permanent collection. Prior to joining their collection, this sculpture was on view along with 12 other pieces of mine in “Elements: Five Installations,” a group exhibition curated by Kathleen Monaghan, held at the @whitneymuseum’s Equitable Center location in 1987. This exhibition was reviewed in “The New York Times” by Michael Brenson. “Untitled #552 (The Twins),” 1987, was later acquired by the Brooklyn Museum in 1988. @charlottakotik, who was the museum’s Curator of Contemporary Art at the time, was instrumental in acquiring this piece for their permanent collection.
