Branding my Substack felt oddly difficult.
How do you give a visual identity to something still taking shape? Something intentional, but a little chaotic? Honest, but designed? That tension made This Part of Me hard to define.
When people ask what I do, I pause. “Influencer” doesn’t feel quite right. “Content creator” only leads to more questions.
Sometimes I just say, “I work with brands—on Instagram and stuff,” hoping that’s enough.
It’s not untrue. But it doesn’t capture what I really want to make—or who I’m becoming.
When I told my friend @lyke_minded about branding This Part of Me, I said I wanted it to feel like a handwritten note—personal, warm, real. But also distinct. Thoughtful.
After weeks of back-and-forth—illustrations, fonts, references—we landed here (last slide).
The aged envelope felt right: imperfect, but meaningful. Like something kept. The simple font, quiet and unfussy, felt like a nod to my style—elevated, but easy.
It doesn’t feel like a newsletter. It feels like an invitation.
Because just like an envelope opens to reveal a message, I’m still unfolding.
With each lesson, a new part of me takes shape. And when it feels ready, I share that part with you.
