2 Doves In Love “2 Doves” is a nod to the saying two love birds, one I’ve always used to describe my parents. Growing up, their story shaped what I understood love to be. My mother raised me alone while my dad worked in the Philippines to support us in the States. On paper, it sounds romantic and honorable. In reality, it was one of the hardest things our family went through. This drop is about that love: the distance, the devotion, the sacrifice. It uses the juxtaposing relationships I had with them as the source of inspiration for the pieces. It’s about seeing my parents’ story reflected in my own.
