people always ask "isn't treating cancer depressing." or what's sometimes hard not to be offended by, "I could never do that, I just care too much." if i've learned one thing over the past few years, how you remember someone is up to you. it takes effort--to not be sad but instead make it fond. maybe im doing it wrong, but I don't think i've ever 'forgotten' anyone.. and the craziest part about it is, you never know what or WHY something will be that recalling moment. because when people are present, you're just "living", right? whatever you're talking about or unexpectedly in a total giggle spell that together for. but you never know at the time that very thing will be this out of nowhere 'memory' of who that person was. if nothing else, it keeps you very humble about the very 'finite-ness', that is human life. that is all of our lives. so if you can, take a moment to cherish it. both others' and your own. #life #love #cookies
