In today’s opinion piece @brendeezyy offers both a critique and exploration of the reasons why we post online.
“I found myself stuck on how often I performed online and how I chose to narrate my travels digitally. I was already saving pictures in my Google Photos album for the inevitable “dump” I’d share on Instagram after my trip. I was set on finding wifi in the airport so I could post my favourite Beyoncé song within the first few hours of RENAISSANCE being released. An essay I had written had been published while abroad and I felt a pressing need to announce it to my followers. All of this sharing and posting, intricately weaving together a fabric of how I wanted to be seen online”

🎨 @sabrinagevaerd who says “I wanted to capture this diffuse idea of our online projections versus our flesh and bone selves. How we often exist in the doorway of both places at once. Simultaneously performance and presence.”
