Last night at @doctorstrangeofficial In the Multiverse of Madness UK Screening. This is gonna sound corny but it’s a true story: The first time I ever watched Dr Strange back in 2016 it was without a doubt my favourite Marvel movie and character. When I moved to the UK almost 4 years ago, I remember telling a few people how I wish I had the chance to work with Benedict Cumberbatch one day. 2 years later, I was Xochitl Gomez's second unit double, #AmericaChavez 🙆🏽‍♀️❤️ there I was rehearsing lines together and helping with his eyeline. It was INSANE! I feel so blessed to have got the opportunity to work on this project for several months during lockdowns and pandemic! 🙏🏽 I trust the process and I’m proud of my achievements, specially when you’re classified as a “minority” or even your ethnic group is hardly on the forms. Latin actors have very to little representation in the film industry and things have to change now! ❤️‍🔥I know little by little I’m getting where I want to be in my career. This may not mean too much for some, but to me that I grew up in a very humble district in Acapulco, México, everything is a milestone. Trust me when I say it hasn’t been an easy road, but I’m deeply grateful for everything that I have the opportunity to experience. Today a double, tomorrow lead role!
