Ed Sheeran is stuck in my head as I pick up rollerblading again at 40. Everything looks higher and steeper, my feet move one way but my body goes another. 1hr on skates has an exchange rate of 1 week of soreness 🤪. BUT there is a new found joy in relearning the tricks with an older mind. Less body hucking more "it's all in the hips". 17 sessions in and now at 41, I realize these solo sessions have become my favorite way to experiment with video editing as much as they have been the most economical way to rack up beer drinking calorie credits.
