Below are 3 tips to modernize this outfit for a stylish upgrade 🤎 ⁣ ⁣ The jacket, boots, and denim aren’t dated on their own, but combined together, felt very early 2000s. Save this post so you can easily refer back for the tips 👇🏼⁣ ⁣ 1. Take note of your boots - heel, toe, shaft shapes and silhouettes evolve. Be sure that the boot style is not dated as that will quickly make the entire look feel out of date. ⁣ 2. Make sure there is balance and contrast between the silhouettes within an outfit. The fitted style of the faux leather jacket doesn’t add any contrast to the skinny jeans. Balance the sleek denim and boots with a longer line, looser fitting blazer. Other options for the top could be an oversized button up or relaxed fitting knitwear. ⁣ 3. Keep the outfit to 3 colors: The initial outfit felt busy with varying neutral shades, salmon, and navy plaid. By keeping with 2-3 colors and using the color sandwich concept, the outfit looks more sophisticated and cohesive.
