Walking into Taylor Street Kitchen, you'll see fridges filled with beverages and grocery items, pantry shelves stocked with Oregon-made goods, and a barista pulling espresso shots in front of shelves of vermouths and aperitifs. A pastry case shows off house-baked scones and cookies, while a deli case stocked with sandwiches and salads tempts those stopping in for lunch. In the evenings, regulars wait for pizzas made by former Quaintrelle chef Bill Wallender. "I want to make something that feels like it has been and will be here forever," says owner Christine Burmeister.
