People pleasing sounds like a wonderful thing and in some ways it is. Just make sure in your relationships that you are also one of the people being pleased. It might feel Self-centered to walk away from people with very understandable struggles but if that struggle neglects your needs it’s OK to walk away. No one did anything wrong it just wasn’t the right connection.
