Travelling 12,000 miles from their winter feeding grounds in Alaska down to the warm lagoons of Mexico to give birth to their calves. At birth their calves weigh an average of almost 2,000 lbs, and are about 15 ft long! Watch for Gray Whales passing Southern California beginning in December. .
