You spend a lot of years trying to impress others. So much so you forget to impress yourself. Eventually I learned that if I can turn what people considered "weird" or "uncool" into something special and unique to me then they really can't say nothing about it. Because it's mine and mine alone. The critique isn't as offensive anymore because you can't really critique something you don't actually understand. I guess what I'm tying to say is- do you for you and eventually others will be attracted to the genuine properties of what you do. Or they won't, but at least your left with something YOU enjoy.
