We had a community creative challenge on the Mesh discord recently, so much amazing work, a few snippets here courtesy of @llyr1101 on the topic “make it grain” proposed by @luigi_tasso_music 1: @sebveyan re-imagines a granular synth with traditional controls replaced by a swirling mass of incoming grains converted into visual and aural elements. 2: Short clip of one of a number of improv sessions by @aonianmusic where the live input is ‘granulated’ using a variety of processing. 3: Short extract from granular ‘cinepoem’ by @eluzeo. The piece explores associative territory triggered by the word ‘grain’.
