Training Tip Tuesday: The off-season is just as much about resting your mind as it is about resting your body. In fact, I think the mental reset might even be more important. When people ask me what they are “allowed” to do during the off-season my answer is usually that you can do anything you genuinely “want” to do and nothing that you feel like you “should” or “have” to do. Additionally, this mental reset can help remove other barriers. When we remove the idea that every workout has to be “perfect” we open ourselves up to practice new or forgotten things like cadence, skills, position, equipment, and more.
