you 🤝🏼 me 🤝🏼 working to get those curls back the first few photos were gathered from 2016-2018 and the last two of me being blonde then brunette were this year! when I started out my journey I didn’t look to Instagram for tips, YouTube videos were my guide 🥹 however this was back when Instagram was about posting pics in the moment and using the Instagram filters lmfao curl friends, when you started out your journey where did you go for tips and advice the most? i’m curiouzzzz to know 👀 nonetheless, here are 3️⃣ tips that actually made a difference in my curls: • going to a curly hair specialist for a haircut that was suitable for my curls, and a wash and style afterwards taught me a lot (I learn best visually and trying it out in real life). I also do 2-3 trims a year! • starting out with basic products or products that work best for me. right now all I use is a shampoo, deep conditioner, leave-in cream, gel and oil. depending on what you like & how you want to style your curls, you could create a styling routine with 2 products! • minimizing how often I straighten with a flat iron or give my hair a blow out. I do it anywhere from 2-3 times a year max, but that’s just personal preference! & there are so many ways to protect your hair before you straighten it and after. I don’t want to overload with tips but those three made a huge difference in my curls especially getting the haircut & consistent trims.
