My heart goes out to the Garson family and the loss of Richard. Can’t even begin to tell you what the family and Richard did for our lives as surfers and more importantly men of God. We took our first trip to Costa Rica at 12 years old to catch up with the Garson family for the summer. Richard taught us so much those summers about surfing and more importantly caring for the poor. He took us to waves that would blow our mind with not a surfer in sight. We went every summer after that trip and my love for Costa Rica and riding the barrel was born. Thank you Richard for everything you did for CJ and I. We will see you in heaven Papa G
