Our newest cafe opens today in Old Town Center in the heart of Los Gatos. Architect Lincoln Lighthill (@lincolnlighthillarchitect) designed this sweet nook of a cafe to be a serene space for people to move through seamlessly. An angled bar made from one continuous piece of Corian opens the interior and allows the eye to glide over its smooth surface, taking in the entirety of the cafe. To complement the bar top, the cafe is filled with smooth, rounded shapes—free of sharp corners, and made from ash wood for a peaceful warmth reminiscent of the great redwoods of Northern California. And for a touch of Silicon Valley extravagance, Lighthill designed the rounded features using superquadrics: complex mathematical equations that yield graceful forms. We like to think this cafe is where old (town) meets new (minds). 7 am - 7 pm 29 University Ave Los Gatos, CA 95030
