So I'm sure many of you have been made aware by the internet or by my bitching on here about the ongoing attempts by the republican party to criminalize trans healthcare and trans existence in public spaces, which would effectively force trans people to detransition, to be imprisoned, or to commit suicide. It's atrocious, and I've never felt more sadness and hatred before in my life. Trans people all over the United States are having their lively hood threatened, lives uprooted, and lives threatened by the republican party. For those of you who haven't already gotten involved who are allies, these people are struggling and desperately need your help, whether legal, financial, emotional, or physical. Do NOT pray for them, be there FOR them or be there WITH them. Talk to them, call your representatives, protect them, protest with them, cause if trans people fall, other minorities and rights will be at risk. This government has turned its back on trans people, leaving the LGBTQ community and its allies to desperately try to fend off these bills. If you're LGBTQ or an ally then it's time to get a gun if you're able. Learn firearm safety and the local laws so you can stay safe and protect yourself and others. I'm not sure where we're heading as a country, and I'm afraid for my LGBTQ friends, family, and strangers who I've not yet come to meet. I'm afraid for the kids today who are LGBT themselves as the republicans try to erase their existence. But I'm also just afraid for myself, because I'm nonbinary. As someone who's trans myself, I will not let these rich ass suited fuckers dictate whether my, or anyone else's identity is valid or not. They crossed a line that I didn't know could even be crossed in the modern day. I'm only 21 and I have to live in a world where fascists want me depressed, cis, and straight, or, trans and imprisoned or dead. Meanwhile, with everything going on in the world, I still have to deal with life shit while my rights and life are being debated in my home state. It's exhausting. I'm exhausted. We need your help.
