The Brilliant & Black countdown has begun... Only 48 hours until opening night and things are heating up nicely as demonstrated by the ‘Croissants’, a stunning pair of #aluminium #amethyst #whitediamond and #zircon earrings created by @castronyc and submitted by his son Sir King who will be there to see them unveiled. It’s going to be an emotional night in so many ways. As I say in my interview with the fantastic @theanthonydemarco for @forbes last night (see link in bio to read their article) Our first show last year was a ‘here we are’ moment on the world auction stage and this, the second exhibition in London is a chance to go deeper into the art and culture. My greatest hope is that exhibitions like these continue to highlight the evolving and seriously collectible cultural artefacts being created by contemporary black designers. There is so much talent out there and thanks to @frankbeverett and @sothebys we are celebrating it in new and fabulous ways. See you there.
