Ten different compositions from Segla and seven tips to surprise with your frames! With @krisvang / "I have been up here multiple times trying to capture this impressive massive under different conditions. The first photo is special to me as I got this rainbow by surprise. (1) Take advantage of the opportunities I had no time to look for a composition or put up the tripod. I had to work with what was in front of me as quickly as possible. In this case, I used the peak and the model posing from another shoot, placed perfectly at the base of the rainbow. (2) Fill in the frame The sixth image is also one of my favorites. The angle is familiar, but I created a frame out of a branch and some leaves to add depth of field and some extra interest around the image. (3) Play with different types of weather conditions I like this image so much because of the work I had to put in to get it. I visited this location multiple times under different conditions, hiked in the pouring rain, experimented with the frame, and took thousands of pictures. (4) Share your work, learn from the feedback, and re-assess Sharing this photo also taught me a lesson. Images that are hard to capture hit differently on the viewer, and this photo got my Instagram account going forward. (5) Learn about your subjects, research, and revisit places. These steps will allow you to get the pictures you want. (6) Treat each photo independently I do not use a lot of presets, although I have made some for general use. My experience has taught me that the same amount of editing goes into each photograph, even if I apply a preset. So I edit very differently from picture to picture. (7) Rest your eyes Usually, what takes the most time for me is balancing the colors. That has to be perfect for me. To get this right, I often take a break to reset my eyes. The 20-20-20 rule is valid for reducing digital eye strain. The rule states that every 20 minutes, you should look away from your screen to a location about 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds." ✨ Which composition do you enjoy the most? ⛰
