Today is National photography day and honestly I wonder sometimes where I’d be without photography. My camera has taken me all over the US (and to Australia and Puerto Rico!). Photography has been my career for the last 16 years. It’s brought me friendships, lessons, challenges, victories and friendships. I started from the absolute bottom, taught myself to use a camera and worked my way into a successful career. I’ve shot dogs, weddings, children, families, athletes, and celebrities. I’ve been published, sought after, recognized and I’ve also started over and learned an entirely new industry. If It weren’t for photography, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
