As a founder who bootstrapped @dorseyofficial without outside financing for the first two years (in a pandemic) this is a milestone I’ll never forget. Companies are built one day at a time, one order at a time, and one customer at a time, over the course of years. Thank you to every single one of you who is supporting me on this journey. It feels important in these moments to say that every investor passed on Dorsey in 2019. Important because you rarely hear those stories as a new founder (and they’re incredibly important to share especially if you’re raising capital as a woman). If you are building something now that others don’t currently understand, go it alone, and don’t look back. Consumers decide the future of industries (how they evolve specifically).
