“It’s incredible how disarming it is for people when you just tell the truth.” Through her wellness collective @nushu, @vanessacornell has carved out a new kind of space for people to meet and connect under just one condition: that you let your guard down and speak openly and honestly. After having five kids in six years, Cornell realized that, despite how overwhelmed she felt, she “[didn’t] really have permission to say those things out loud.” With Nushu, that permission is at the core of all that they do. “Humans are pretty basic and simple.
