Earlier housing and low-rise maisonettes compliment and complete the scene, set off by acres of green playing fields as modernist proponents of high-rise dwellings dictated. A long-lost scene in many cities until a recent slowdown and re-evaluation of the quality of such buildings and their embedded carbon.
